that's because your steering wheel is on the wrong side ![]() nice little kit and you can take the fuse out for the summer ... I must remember to put it back in before you know what ! btw - does it make a difference on the fan setting ? I thought it just used the fan +ve feed - but happy to be corrected |

Yes, would be very upsetting to suffer failure for forgetting a fuse!!
I assumed the fan speed was controlled by varying the voltage to it at the plug where the heater joins in. Just an assumption though. I'll put a meter on it tomorrow when i'm back out there. |

Has anyone tried the heater kit for the Ford Transit?
![]() ![]() They had the same problem & the dealer's fixing the bug till today for free, because of "safety measures" ![]() Transit kit should cost less than LR, I suppose...))) Anyone tried? |

It's probably the same heater
Another alternative would be to fit an oil catch tank and block off the air box hole |

Добрый вечер D'Marique,
Welcome to the forum as I see this is one of your first posts. Where abouts in Russia are you, and which Defender are you driving there? I know your country pretty well, anywhere from Moscow down to Volgograd, Voronezh, Belgorod, Rostov, Stavropol and Krasnodar oblasts. ![]() Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

-22 - it's a nice warm winter, i should say))) ![]() I'm also thinking of another heating option - FLEXIBLE TAPE HEATER Seems easy to install & to use. Costs about $30 for 1 meter, 12V. http://www.homakoh.ru/production/auto-en/engl/ |
