Yeah I think the balls are 10mm so if worst comes to the worst I can make up an adjustable rod with ball socket ends. I would rather the real deal though... > 110 XS Double Cab

At over £220 the genuine part is disturbingly expensive for a piece of old tat! No surprise there.
How about a couple of these (or similar equivalents) with a length of threaded rod? https://www.cromwell.co.uk/shop/bearings-a...UN6792806K Similar items available from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KJBGS-Bearing-Con...80242?th=1 |

For info I have just measured the balls on a spare gearbox and selector tower and can confirm that the balls are 10mm diameter. It's relatively easy to find DIN 71805 ball sockets for 10mm balls, which would mean that making up a replacement linkage should be straightforward (and cost a lot less than £220). |

I've got loads of gas struts at work from old fruit machines. I can measure the ball on Tuesday if they're 10mm then can chop the "ram" off of one of the struts. one end is pre threaded so you'd just need to cut a thread on the other end and screw on the ball clamp bit (got plenty of those too)
