I've heard of chain stretch in the 4 cylinder diesels. Luckily I picked up a faint rattle in my daughter's DS and LR changed it under warranty with the up grade kit.

Personally I'd go for a six cylinder, which I see you have. My D250 has plenty of power and is supper smooth. Thumbs Up

Nice wheels, what are they? Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Wait for the 6c, I do the same.
A 2,3 ton car needs an appropriate engine. And at the end of the day you also save fuel.
Here in Germany there are a few 6c, 200 hp late 2020/early 2021 on the market. But none with Approved LR 2 year guarantee so far.
And the prices are not so much lower than ordering it new.
Seems like since Corona, microchip shortage and supply chain issues the prices on the used market went really up.
What are your thoughts on this, will prices relax during the next year or continue like now?
Thanks for having me here by the way. John based in Munich, Germany.

Until now I had no issues at all with my 200hp 6c engine on my Defender 110 SE after 22 months of ownership and 69000 km. 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history)

I had no issues in almost 23000 miles in my D240, which I liked but the D250 is brilliant - loads of torque and more than sufficient power as well as being silky smooth. Maybe I’m driving my D250 harder in the 4 months I’ve had it (it is great fun to drive it hard on road which cannot be said for the D240) but I haven’t much difference between the two engines fuel consumption wise, although the Auto stop/Start in the D250 doesn’t restart the engine as soon as it did in the D250 when stopped at lights
