So an explanation of what happened.
So a Diagnostic trouble code, probably one associated with the MAF sensor, would have triggered the limp mode and the check engine light to illuminate as your intercooler hose was loose. These type of DTC’s are being constantly monitored, so as you rectified the loose pipe, restarted the engine and drove the vehicle a while the monitoring showed the issue was no longer their and the engine ECU cleared the DTC , the check engine light extinguished and limp mode was not triggered again.
