Diagnostic Plug Location
This may be a dumb question but I assume a 2006 has a diagnostic plug (ODP?) somewhere but I cannot find it. The owners manual isn't much help. Where should I be looking?
Thanks.

I’m assuming you have a TD5, if so I believe the OBD port is Under the cubby box / middle seat at the side of one of the front seats . https://www.outilsobdfacile.com/location-p...fender-1-2.

It could also be under the plate beneath the cubby/ middle seat or been cut off as an anti theft measure.

Note prior to the Puma which has an OBD2 (OBDII) port I.e the TD5, the OBD port is proprietary and a standard OBD2 scanner won’t work correctly. See https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic84428.html?highlight=obd2

As said. Under mid seat, or cubby box on a Td5. But we do hide them, and only certain readers read them.

Many thanks. I will see if I can locate it tomorrow. Being a late 2006 (September) is it possible that it could have the OBD2? Hoping a PO hasn't cut it off.

Unfortunately only 2007 onwards 2.4 and 2.2 puma defenders have a OBD2 compliant port, located in the fuse box in the drivers footwell on a RHD vehicle.
