i have reconnected them but nothing works....

so i dont know whether the camera was a dud to begin with.......im hoping that you did the same as me and cut both wires but then realized it was just the green wire you had to cut and rejoined the white wire and it worked?

I left the white intact. Does it still work having cut both?!!

That's the problem it doesn't and i didn't check the camera before i cut it

so i dont know if it was a dudd.i will have to google to see what those two wires actually do and whether they stop the signal if cut or just change its orientation.
this will go down in my less rush pay more attention list of cockups!

There isn’t a lot of slack on them either. Can you at least pare back the white one and solder it back together?

im going to try that tonight if i get time ..i did a quick burn of plastic and twist together earlier but that didn't work!
edit it didnt work ..so i think the camera is a dud!

further edit.... after help from mr google......the green wire is for the image orientation and the white wire is for the tramlines....camera should work even if both are cut.
