PAS to manual conversion?
Advice please! I'm rebuilding my 110 ROW 300TDI in the Caribbean. Parts are a mission to get, especially heavy items! I'm converting it to EV (don't get mad I still have a second diesel 110)
I'm bolting the motor to the Gbox - transfer box and it will all be reversible in the future if it all goes ti*s

2: Can you convert PAS to non-pas - weird question but it's one less thing to worry about with hydro oil and pressure pump + my pas box is leaking badly + it will be lighter up front anyway when converted.

Is this easy to do? assume you need to change out everything as manual steering gear is heavier duty to deal with the extra force required to turn the wheels?

Yes early manual 90/110 steering box will fit, with appropriate steering column shafts.

Can you get hold of an electric pas pump from anything else locally? A lot of people use various items like the mercdes or mini ones

yeh for sure there's pumps out there, it was mainly to wanting simplification, no oils, sounds, less drain on battery and my current steering box leaks like a beast. so it's a combo of things!

Do you need to change the steering shaft (from steering wheel through bulkhead) or just the articulated shaft from steering box to bulkhead?
