I'm sure it 'll have a factory fitted alarm, some export market cars don't. 2.4 90 XS

Thanks guys but it definitely does not have an alarm of any sort. Spoken with the squealer and he said that it does not have one. He said most aftermarket ones do not work well with defenders so I have had a eureka moment !
. . . . . . . . . . . . . quick release steering wheel! I will get a quick release boss and an aftermarket steering wheel and just remove it and either take it with me or hide it in the Landy out of sight when I park up somewhere. Big deterrent to a thief as even if he hot wires the car he can not steer it. Pob |

I didn't think mine had an alarm, so to test it i sat in the car and locked it with the key fob. Then i pushed the lock up (by hand) and the alarm went off. It's worth a try, just in case. 130 crew cab

Thanks but no key fob on mine no central lock - just a basic Landy mine
Going along the quick release steering wheel route I think - gotta be a good way if the can't steer it then it should stay on my drive. |

It would probably help if you left the front wheels on full lock to stop some one towing it away. 130 crew cab
