Should be N1 on the V5 and 4x4 light commercial and (I am not an accountant) but I think they are classed as a van for BIK, the Double Cabs are Dual Purpose Vehicles.

In simple terms, the previous model Defenders were classed as LCV’s, current models are classed as cars Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |

Thank you - that is helpful. I will ask my accountant. I was certain I'd read threads where people on here were using the Puma 90 HT as commercial vehicles for tax purposes but cannot find the threads. |

When I purchased my 90 H/T i was told by the accountant that it was the only 90 variant that I could class as commercial, think the 110 DCabs also qualify but not station wagons

Wouldn't HMRCs database of suitable cars trump a V5C?

From the HMRC guidance published in 2014
https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/e...l/eim23155 "Land Rover Defender Station Wagons HMRC has always considered these vehicles to be cars for tax purposes for the reasons given above, i.e. that they are mechanically propelled road vehicles, and none of the exceptions in s115(1) (EIM23100) apply to prevent them being cars. |
