ok thank you for the reply. any ideas which wires in particular as i have attempted to go through them before but there are so many that i just end up getting lost in them. they are all still out from the bulkhead so if there were some colours to follow that would be great.
cheers |

You've read codes but what actual faults do you have?
You need to finish the rebuild/refit (from an electrical point of view), then clear codes and try again to find the actual issues. ![]() ![]() |

Is this the defender that you bought without an engine and have been sourcing parts for?
Have you got it running now? Given that it has been heavily worked on it could be anything. Are you 100% certain that all parts you have fitted are compatible with each other? Are the engine, engine harness and ECU matched to each other or sourced independently to one another? > 110 XS Double Cab |

as far as im aware everything electrical that should be connected is connected. The issue its having is that it will crank either once for one cycle or not at all. it is as though something is cutting it off

hi
no still not running and yes very much an ongoing project. the engine and engine harness came together from one vehicle and the bulkhead, ecu, clocks came together from another vehicle. as far as im aware they are all compatible though i could be wrong as i am definitely no mechanic. |
