The AT35 option is much more subtle on the Defender than it is on pickup trucks... Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I came from Isuzu land and never saw any of the Isuzu DMAX AT35 owners complain - big big difference though between an AT35 DMAX and a standard DMAX Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

£10,600 all in. He wasn’t able to confirm on the phone whether they use lift rods or an under frame to lift the body by 30mm (the rest is achieved by the larger diameter tires). He asked to send an email with questions. I will and report back. Anyone has anymore questions that would like included? Cheers Sergio |

Great reason to visit Iceland and get the conversion done while you rent one of their prepped cars for your holiday………… my bank account needs to recover from a forthcoming 28 day touring trip of Norway during June and early July coming, before I start planning any trips to Iceland………. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

You will absolutely love norway, we did a 4 week trip up to the lofoten islands summer before lockdown. Amazing place, but yes your wallet will certainly take a hammering. Register for the road tolls before you go, just remember they can take a month or three to come through after you've been. Enjoy.

Been offroading in Iceland in 2020 and 2021, the highlands are fantastic and the Westfjords. The river crossings are the main theme. Costs about £2k (return) to ship the car with Eimskip, from Immingham, then fly in to be reunited with your wheels. Saves a ton of time instead of going there and back via Denmark.
As Kiter25 said, make sure to visit the Lofoten islands - ferry from Bodo - but i'm sure you know all of that! been there in 2018 and it is an amazing trip! Enjoy the Atlantic Road! Cheers Sergio |

An executive decision was made not to take my Defender which was the original plan. We’ve rented an VW ID3 EV - I’ve been advised that most tolls are waived for EVs and with the price of diesel there now an EV was a no brainer. My co-driver reckoned I would be risking my pride and joy driving it on the wrong side of the road and also she wouldn’t drive it………. hence renting a car with the steering wheel on the right side of the car for the country.
