I've got one of these - you need to remove the filter in the tank pick up pipe and take the nozzle off of course. Not the fastest but does the job.

Which vehicle do you have ?
For my 2.2 puma I have a 12mm outside diameter clear pipe approx 1.5 m long , you can feed from above in the engine bay, feed it into the filler holes in the transfer or gearbox, attach a funnel at the top, measure correct amount in jug and pore into funnel and let gravity do the work. There are plenty of places to hook the pipe onto and maintain the fall without any dips and to prevent pipe pulling out of the fillers. For diffs I use a laser oil suction gun, £11-£14 . Suck up 500ml at a time and pump into diff filler. I leave an oil drain pan under the fillers to catch any dribbles. Thanks guys, I'll have a look at that topic.
What I used in the end was something I bought ages ago in Lidl; forgot I had it actually. I emptied the diffs, gearbox etc. out in the normal manner, and to fill them up used an ultimate speed pump designed really for engine oil, however once warmed up by standing the oil in hot water to thin, it went through surprisingly well. Thanks again. |
