A two parter
Two questions for the hive mind today…

Firstly I’ve fitted an Anderson connector in the engine bay, found the loop for protective cap too short to fit around the plug. I’ve temporarily secured it by cable tie. See green circle in photo - bracket for what I assume is Aircon pipe. Can I remove this safely fit the loop for the cap then refit the aircon line - without breaking anything? Bit scared to touch it!

Secondly I’ve been investigating how to get 12v feed to the back of the car. MY12 so no purple wire but whilst having a look back there I’ve found a mystery connector which I think is part of the 7 pin towing electrics. But not sure what it is? Anyone clarify? In the photo below it’s the white connecto with red wire and blue/yellow wire…

You can remove the bracket from the wing without problems, but do not under any circumstances disconnect the a/c line hose since if you do you will firstly lose your refrigerant rendering your a/c useless, and secondly will create a hole in the ozone layer which will condemn all mankind to a lingering painful death in the near future. Shocked

Alternatively you could drill a hole through the bracket and use either a stainless key-ring type ring or a small screw link (Maillon Rapide style) to secure the loop.

I can't help with the rear wiring question since my Def is an 07 DC which helpfully has more spare wires to the rear than in-use wires, sorry!

Why didn't I think of a keyring type affair? Thanks BW - got a wee snaphook on there now, much neater!

Great result, sometimes we overlook the simplest approach (I have already chosen the inscription for my tombstone - it's going to say "Here lies Blackwolf, simple but effective").

Best of all, you haven't condemned the human race to a lingering and painful death, everyone's a winner! Thumbs Up
