You can remove the bracket from the wing without problems, but do not under any circumstances disconnect the a/c line hose since if you do you will firstly lose your refrigerant rendering your a/c useless, and secondly will create a hole in the ozone layer which will condemn all mankind to a lingering painful death in the near future.
Alternatively you could drill a hole through the bracket and use either a stainless key-ring type ring or a small screw link (Maillon Rapide style) to secure the loop. I can't help with the rear wiring question since my Def is an 07 DC which helpfully has more spare wires to the rear than in-use wires, sorry! |

Great result, sometimes we overlook the simplest approach (I have already chosen the inscription for my tombstone - it's going to say "Here lies Blackwolf, simple but effective").
Best of all, you haven't condemned the human race to a lingering and painful death, everyone's a winner! |
