Car isn't reminding me of a service
Just realised I've had my Defender for well over a year so it's probably needing a service?

The car has never mentioned it to me. I went into the Settings menu today and it says:

"Next service due not available"
"Next oil change due not available"

Why is it not available?! And should my car have a service after the first 12 months? Every other car I've owned has needed that.

Hello dizeeduckie...Relax Cool

"Next service due not available"
"Next oil change due not available''

Wrong Terminology IMO... 'not due' or ideally show 'mileage / months' until due Mr. Green

You could, as many do, reduce this...oil + parts inexpensive compared to engine problems.

Good Luck... SKIP

It should tell you when it’s due in the app too, along with range to run on the Adblu contents if it’s a diesel

It could do with a low battery key fob warning as well! My August 2021 wouldn’t start this morning either with the fob I always use and the spare which has never been used. LRA arrived and replaced both batteries …all ok thereafter.
Apparently they need over 3 volts to work, and because the fobs are continually live sending out rolling codes, the batteries need replacing regularly…even as low as 3 months. I seem to remember that BMWs send out a warning when the fob batteries are low.

Next service due etc info in Pivi Pro will show if you drive the car off for a couple of miles in my experience. It won’t display if you just start it up on the drive - I suspect it has to do with the oil quality sensor that measures any oil dilution from incomplete DPF regens Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

When you find the cost of a service, you'll be glad it's not due for 2 years.

After hearing about all the dpf regen and oil dilution issues on the mid range JLR
products that have contributed to engine failures, I have decided to ignore LR and
stuck with 6 monthly /12k km oil + filter change and a full annual service.. I plan to keep
mine far longer than one on a standard lease contract yet another pommie bar steward down under

Won't do it any harm, and probably a good idea.
