What is behind this dash location?
Is there any space behind the area just to the left of the diff lock instructions sticker? I’d like to surface Mount a digital switch panel but it would require the wire to run behind it through that plastic.

Thank you trying to prep and take the dash apart once

The heater matrix sits behind there. From memory it’s pretty tightly packed.

There is a little room but is is very limited no more than 1”, less and less lower a little more at the top edge but the heater matrix is curved.

If you really do want to use it take the centre dash out and measure up precisely.
In fact measure twice to be sure.

You may find there just isn’t enough room but it isn’t too difficult to remove the centre dash. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

There's quite a lot of space behind the 'X' and it's easy to get to one the centre section is pulled forwards. Just undo the two bolts on the front of the dash and then pull it free from the top edge.
