once fob battery changed go outside the vehicle with doors closed, I stand close to the drivers door as the alarm module is under the dash above the drivers footwell. click the lock button on the fob four times and it will re sync. Then unlock with fob and make sure its on the same ring as the key and it should start.
Only have one fob with you each time you do this as having both fobs in close proximity can cause issues.. so leave one indoors. Do the first fob re sync process and start the vehicle. . Then stop after a minute , take new synced fob in doors bring other one out and repeat process. Ps it looks like you have a lot of snow at present so hope this works OK and you can make full use of your defenders abilities |

Thanks Ian. All sorted
I had tried this but decided to start again so took out the battery and this time took off the clear plastic sticker from the negative side which I hadn’t noticed in my haste yesterday I missed a day of snow play due to my stupidity |

I’m sure you won’t be the last to do this
Missing a day of play might not have been a bad thing in reflection of yesterday’s events Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |

Glad it all worked in the end, we have all done things like that, but going back to the starting point and double checking as you did generally throws up where we have gone wrong.
