What a brilliant idea, can you fit PRV on diesel injectors? 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned.

If the 2.2 is the same as the 2.4 (and I don't see why it wouldn't be for this) there is a non-resettable PRV in the fuel common rail, located at the bulkhead end of the rail. When popped, it returns the fuel to the tank.

blackwolf , thats what i thought , but all i see on the bulk head end of the rail is the pressure sensor.

so further research into the 2.2 , its the euro 5 ford engine which doesnt have the PRV valve and its all controlled by the pressure control valve in the pump and the ecu monitors the pressure.
back to the the autel diagnostic for me and see whats happening with fuel pressures Im getting cylinder balance injector leaking faults on all injectors, mmmmm |

That's interesting! If you look at this thread it becomes apparent that the 2.4 and 2.2 are different, and it seems that the 2.2 does not have the PRV that the 2.4 has.
The 2.4 has the sensor at the front of the rail and the PRV at the rear. Perhaps the over-pressure relief is integral with the pump on the 2.2. Edit - your post and mine were clearly simultaneous. |

yes Blackwolf , ive seen that earlier , my fuel pressure sensor seems ok and im getting 260ish bar idle and previous before i replaced the fuel pressure control valve in the pump it was reading about 500 bar at idle and i had huge cloud of smoke out of the exhaust.
i really need to live data the fuel pressures tomorrow on a run as the faults only pop up on a small run. maybe the new fuel control valve is not controlling properly, its not a genuine ford/ land rover item . ive done all the adaptive resets on the pump , injectors and recoded the injectors just to make sure . |

What a surprise. The EU4 is Denso and the EU5 is Bosch equipped |

Hi guys i am stuck would be grateful if some one may help. I am continuously having high pressure at fuel rail. Changed my vcv and fuel rail but no effect on fuel pressure. Can any one guide where the fault may lie.
