After owning a V8, Turbo Diesel and a 300TDI since 1994 my TD5 is as light as a feather

I changed clutch spring a few years back now and I haven't looked back, I think it's a good improvement for a bl**dy fiddly job!

Just a thought, what about removing the ruddy great return spring fitted to the TD5 and replacing it with something much lighter, just enough to keep the pedal off the master cylinder when in the rest position?
I've never figured out why it needs such a strong spring. |

I got rid of the lof one and fitted one of the oem black ones. I found the lof too strong with 0 pedal feel or feedback. The black spring feels like a good compromise between feel and assistance.

To be honest most people say it’s the best thing ever. I think it’s the minority that don’t get on with it.

The spring it good, and the slave cylinder is good, possibly better. But I couldn’t stand having both. Far too light for me. Haven’t tried the master for obvious reasons
