Anyone had there Amazon account randomly cancelled....
So earlier in the week I ordered 2 iPhones 13s and a iPad (presents for my niece and nephew as I had £250 amazon gift code to use that I got from work for xmas).

Order went through, I then had a call from amazon security to verify the order probably due to it been a large amount and checking fraud etc.

The delivery was due yesterday so I go on to my amazon account to find I can't login, same with my Alexa and fire stick :/ had no emails or anything from amazon, try on my laptop still can't login so I call Amazon and ask them what's happening? They explain my account has been cancelled and any unfulfilled orders will be cancelled.... they've ask me to send an email in asking to reopen my account - Ive had the account for over 10 years! No explanation why my account has been cancelled..

Then about 7pm last night - Amazon man knocks at my door with my order! As I couldn't access the OTP for delivery I refused the delivery, Ive still been charged by Amazon but Im hoping this will obviously be refunded on Monday/Tuesday as I declined the delivery.

Very confused by this! Has anyone else had issues with amazon randomly closing accounts.

There are reports of issues with. Alexa floating around this morning. Maybe it is a wider server issue. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

I can understand if its fraud prevention but Im not sure why they would then still charge me and then attempt to deliver the goods!

At least I declined the delivery so I can claim from my credit card if Amazon don't sort it out, I can even call them as they said my account is closed so they can't access it!

Had an email from amazon this morning to say a linked account to mine for not meeting terms and conditions of use??!!
I don't have any linked accounts and never have!
I've emailed back asking why but now I cant check if they have issued the refund for the declined delivery on Saturday?

Does anyone have any experience if you decline a delivery from amazon you surely still cant be charged?
Would I need to speak to my CC company?

Did you order the original phones via a marketplace seller or from Amazon directly? There have been numerous cases of where fraudsters buy phones and send to random address and try to either claim lost costs against Amazon, or try to intercept the delivery of the phones.

recommend speaking with customer services at Amazon, raising the case, mention it could be fraud or hacked account. Try to speak with supervisor, most customer service folk only use standard scripts, also try later in the day so you hope to get a US CS person, they are normally 1000% better than others. Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

Yeh I called earlier and they said as my account is now closed I have to email...

It was me who did the order so I'm happy to pay for the goods if they delivered them and didn't shut my account.

I've got 2 old email addresses I don't use anymore I'm going to try and login and make sure none have been previously hacked.

I'll give it a few days and hopefully the money will be returned to my account for the failed delivery/order - just not sure why they would allow the delivery to go ahead after supposedly cancelling my account!

Amazon states on their website if you cant give the delivery driver the OTP for any reason the items will be returned and you will be refunded. ..

Think Im going to go back to the old fashioned way of going into a shop!!

Amazon have some mechanism with iPhones with tracking for security reasons I think, and I think it needs to be handed over in person or something along those lines.
Perhaps something to do with Apple as well, and it’s to prevent theft and iPhones going missing.

Don’t quote me exactly on this, but there is such mechanisms that happen with these and due to value also. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸

Going to give them tomorrow to respond/refund as that's 3 working days.
Then I'll call santander to claim the money back.
Cant believe they would close my account for over 10 years yet still try to deliver the goods.
Idiots.

Just an update and info for everyone I found out Amazon have a algorithm that works on a percentage of the value of items you've returned against what you've bought and kept.

So if you basically breach the return limit Amazon aren't making enough money out of you so they close your account!
