Also an ad for the old one or is there a subliminal message?
Click image to enlarge With current production numbers low, why advertise now? |

Well the latest report is that the order book sits at about 36,000; and last quarter's wholesales were just under 13k.
At those rates the wait for a new order is 8 months, 12 days... |

The star of the ad though has to be the Tasman Blue 90
Oh a bit like this one Click image to enlarge Tempted to replace it though with another, this time I may take it on air. If I order today it may arrive by my current ones 2nd birthday. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

Is that a coil sprung 90 you have then. What's it been like, l am looking to order a Commercial but it comes with coil springs
My friend has just ordered a 110 and says l "have to specify the air suspension because it's so much better" He's been fortunate to have received a large inheritance, but l've got a maximum budget of £50,000 ls the coil spring version still good, how does it deal with poor road surfaces? l am not bothered about the extra off road capabilities of the air suspension, as l am unlikely to need it with the off road driving l do. I've never got stuck in my 110 Defender TD5 and being the County it's not even got the traction control |

I’ve no issues with the coils, it just would be a bit easier to access the rear seats with the air. Probably the only justification I’ve got for changing, chances are though I’ll stick with the one I have.
As for ride comfort it’s fine, yes some of the larger potholes can felt through the cabin but it kind of adds to the Defender feel. As with you I wanted to keep below £50k, before the pandemic I had a 20MY base model 90 with air specked up and it came in at £45k but LR delayed the 90 until the 21MY which done away with the base model but brought in the 3.0 engine rather than the 2.0 but price went up to £48k so decided against adding the air suspension on top of that. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

lt's gone up again since then, the cheapest one you can get now is £58,000 !!
Apart from the Commercial which now starts at £48,000 for the base spec D250 90 (the D200 version at £45,000 is apparently not able to be ordered) l assume Land Rover have realised there's more money to be made from the D250 as it's £3,000 more for the same engine tuned for an extra 50bhp. And with waiting lists for the Commercial now at 18 months, you can see why they are deleting the cheaper versions. A shame as the D200 would have been fine for me, it's still got 500lbs of torque |
