Best Place to Buy a new Wiring Harness Loom
I am looking for the best place to buy a new wiring harness loom for 2.2tdci (2013). It should be the wiring kit with MAF connector etc... (not sure of the part code).

Is it different for the 2.4?

A reliable source please as I do not have much faith in ebay these days and the costs are all over the place.

Thanks.

Thanks Martin

I need the entire loom including the MAF connector. Not just the MAF Connector. I have 2 of those already. The one pictured is similar but they usually have 2 wires that are grey and purple.

There is no LR part number for a 'part loom' like that, you'd only get a whole engine loom - unless you have it custom made (which would likely cost more than a good second hand entire loom).  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Assuming that you mean the full engine harness, then I am sure it is completely different between a 2.4 and a 2.2.

I am also sure it will expensive. Sad

All 2.2 engine harnesses will have the MAF connector - not sure why you keep mentioning it as if it wouldn't?

The LR part number is

Hi Martin. Thanks for the information.

I am not hugely knowledgeable on the electrical components of my land rover and there are a numerous wiring assemblies all over the car. I just wanted to clarify what I needed to make sure I only purchased the minimum as well as to avoid confusion...mainly by me. Thanks again.

As Martin has said and as I intimated, the MAF sensor connector is part of the engine harness, and the engine harness is significantly different between the 2.4 and 2.2.

The engine harness includes all the wiring between the ECM and the engine and related sensors, including the charging and starting circuits, aircon, turbo actuator, and on the 2.2 no doubt the DPF and related sensors, etc. It is a substantial harness.

A Google image search of the part number Martin has provided will show you the harness, which is the minimum you would need to achieve the result you say you want.

OK - I understand now Thumbs Up

The engine loom is "one piece", but changing the whole thing for damaged MAF wiring would seem overkill unless you think there is hidden damage that would cost more to find and fix than a whole loom.

LR don't do the MAF plug and wiring as a separate part (I do/did) and it's the same part as original.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Thanks Martin

I have changed the MAF sensor and the MAF Connector (soldered and taped to the existing wiring loom), to no avail, but I have also had a mouse in residence and its gonna be a Censored to find a nibbled wire. Hence the lookout for a new setup. Sods law says the problem isn't the wiring but am running out of things to replace. Triggers broom.

I should point out I have another topic dealing with the issues and this one was simply to source the wiring. Hence you wont necessarily know how I got to this stage.

If haven't all cared this out unplug MAF-IAF plug and ECM plug C2518 bottom plug on the ecm and check with Multimeter pin to pin between two plugs

maf plug pin 3 12v +
----------------- 4 to ecm plug pin 15-------------- C0162-6-----C0448-6
------------------5 to ecm plug pin 25--------------C0162-1-----C0448-1
------------------2 to ecm plug pin 9 ---------------C0162-5-----C0448-5

plugs C0162 and C0448 are in between maf and ECM on the engine loom LH side of transfer box

check open cct wires and shorts between wires high Resistance between one end and other
