It hit €2.09 here which is £1.83. I know people in the fishing business with boats and the cost in diesel per trip is pretty staggering. You can imagine what a fishing boat burns . It is the marked "cheaper" diesel but it has gone up like ordinary diesel. Just back from an 80 mile hospital visit round trip and looking at the fuel prices along the road made for grim reading! 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I think Tiny Tim will only be getting a lump of coal for Christmas this year so that Uncle Scrooge can keep feeding his Defender diesel...

Funny you mention that. A month or so ago I went in search of diesel in Shrewsbury (as I was passing) and only found one fuel station that was open and had diesel...

Passed one station on route to work on nightshift, it went from 1.86 right up to 1.90. Also since i last filled the peugeot up, its jumped up 10p. Petrol i have noticed just seems to have stalled at 1.60s, i am strongly questioning why Diesel has become a runaway train. It's because they want you driving a milk float, plus because all deliveries including food require diesel transport it also keeps inflation high.
The few will make money; the remainder will be on their knees....gosh, it's like there's an agenda out there and that's not even including the additional costs those living in London will have to pay once that dictator has increased the ULEZ zone. |

My parents have just come back from scotland, and they were on holiday when the prices bombed up. My dad saw a fuel station well into £2 marker. They were also behind a new defender at the petrol station, the bloke must have been on fumes with it, filled it up to a point, and left. For what he had put in it, my mam said, that he very much doubt that he had filled it right up. Because he only put a certain amount and it was well over £100 quid. Price jumped 3p a litre in one day last week at my local Sainsbury - £176.9 to £179.9, fortunately I had filled up my D240 110 with 75litres the day before and also got triple Nectar Points on that! But in Glasgow yesterday I passed several branded forecourts with £190.9 displayed on the roadside sign…..
My local council though is still giving me free electricity to charge my Mini S E. that is 11 months old today and total cost of charging has been £24.60 in offpeak charging at home over 6700 miles. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |
