Weekend trip.
I finished work a bit earlier on Thursday so i could get back to the store to unload Millie and then to put the box on ready for tomorrow

Then on Friday, my eldest daughter and i made the long drive to our accommodation for the next three days. We had an enjoyable journey and made it all okay, here Millie is all tucked up ready for the night

Saturday was an early start so we didn't miss anything Wink
Parked up

As we entered i saw this and the big clue as to where we are

A year later than planned, but we made it to the last round of the BTCC Very Happy

This 90 was ready to be used

Had a great time on Saturday, non stop action Very Happy

Again an early start for Sunday and the parking area where we parked on Saturday was full already, so we had to go to the next field and on the walk to the entrance i spotted this

Then i spotted a car that i have never seen in the flesh, this very rare MG XPOWER SV-R, after some homework we found this to be the SV-R and not the SV

Once in i saw this

Drove home Monday morning, had a good trip home and we had good weather for all the four days we were away Cool

Parked up at home Monday afternoon, all unloaded and we did around 600 miles

Tuesday up the store, unloaded the box and ready to load up for work

We both had a great time and were hoping to do it all again next year at a different venue Very Happy Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Looks a good few days Clayton. Thumbs Up

I used to live as a child just down the road from Brands Hatch.

My friends and I use to climb over the fence to get in without paying back in the 1970’s. Whistle
We would have a great time back then, especially when the Grand Prix was on. I remember the place being full with people and there being cars parked along the side of the road (A20) and back roads for several miles each side of the entrances to the circuit.
Also my nan had a bit of land not to far away and we would charge car drivers to park there for a bit of pocket money. Laughing

I live in East Sussex now so Brands isn’t to far away but I haven’t been back for along time now.
If you’re up this way again don’t forget to call in at mine for a chat and cup of tea or perhaps something stronger.

Glad you had a good time. Thumbs Up

Ah Brands Hatch! Me and my dad went there back in 2012, Thumbs Up
We got the VIP booth, due to the weather been bad for the race day, we camped at a local campsite. Bit of a drive down for us. But it was worth it for the trip Thumbs Up
The MG thing, that might be the one i saw at MG live back in 2013, I don't think MG Rover made that many of those at all, a 3rd party company took over the production of those, but i think the new owners of MG, took the company to court of the name or something, so not sure if they are still in production.

I tend to go to Croft and Knock hill for the BTCC, Croft been only 45mins a way if that. Knock Hill about 2 hours drive depending on if you are not towing.
Knockhill is the one for taking photos of the touring cars mind, as they are in tents and on show, one thing with Brands Hatch is that they are in the centre which is crap. Croft and Silverstone are the same, practically out of sight sadly. ( been Silverstone too and camped for the BTCC, championship final 2011) Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it!

Looks a great weekend! Millie did well, how's the hearing Laughing

Millie looks great with colour coded roof box! Although, on the back there I'd fit it backwards I think. James

Have you been to Croft? It’s a lovely little circuit, and being quite small is usually very entertaining when the BTCC cars are on it. Also, you can combine it with some scenic and gentle laning on the Yorkshire moors too 👍

Hearing is a normal for me, don't hear much anyway James Laughing

I did think about turning the box around but my ocd won't allow it as it's not normal to put it the wrong way Rolling Eyes 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Your lucky to not be to far away from the Knock Hill circuit Procta, that's the one track that we think is the best all round for entertainment, so we have hatched a plan so we can make the journey up to there in a couple of years time Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
