Lol, agree.

Suits a narrative. Would that be a Coal power station by any chance? Which provided 1.6% of the UK's electricity in 2020

I buy my electric from 100% renewable. For both home and business.

But as uk electricity power is mixed souses and feed to you over common power grid you paying for 100% renewable and you will only seeing 30% renewable at most i.e. no light on PV and battery storage for PV- wind in uk is at less than 10% of the 10TWH battery storing need to remove Gas and coal power station from the power system that provide base power, A battery storage of 10TWH will be need to start with and have 10 year life span and will need replacing Exclamation

But you need investment. Hence I have no issue with Green washing. The same as buying my fuel at Shell and contributing to a third party scheme that Shell utilize to offset that CO2.

Here is the company pool car. 18000 miles in 10months. The ID3 is carbon neutral via offsets (do I think they can build a true zero rated car- no).

Wind regularly provides 30% of the UK Grid demand.....

The base power point is a valid one, in my opinion our best mid term option is a solid base of nuclear fission, that in time can hopefully transition to nuclear fusion, with renewables where they work well.

None of its 'green' though......

I guess that depends on your perspective...

Why does perspective matter its either 'green' or it isn't and no amount of bullshoite makes it so.......
Just because someone says its 'green' generally makes it even less so......

You'll enjoy this one too (I do Embarassed ):
https://electricinsights.co.uk/#/dashboard?&_k=b7byhb

It shows that through much of last night, wind power was generating over 53% of demand, and over the last 25 hrs didn't drop below 34% even in peak hours.

Yep. That's knabbing it at lunchtime. I put it on the drive to top up the charge as it was only on 120miles. 19miles in 1hr via my ROLEC.

No cost to HMRC.

Thumbs Up

BIK is minimal. We usually have it wrapped but no longer bother as it the third car in 7yrs due to the mileage they do visiting sites around the country. 18k in 10months plus a lockdown period where no site were visited were undertaken.

I did think about the number plate. As I thought the angle taken would have excluded it.

Reminds me of David Lammy's criticism of Comic relief. Since that time I only give to UK charities or local causes.

If they don't want the investment then they can Thumbs Up

Just had coffee. Very nice but alas 3 beans is too strong for me.
