Not keen on the colour of that particular one but like the actual vehicle though.
The new Pretender doesn’t float my boat but each to their own, sure I don’t doubt it’s “capable” but I can’t stand how it looks and other factors such as engine types and where it’s made etc matters to many many people. Live and let live though. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Should make a superb mall cruiser or beach runner on the Pacific coast beaches but pretty well useless over here because of its size Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

The 4 door bronco is 208mm less in length than the 110, 113mm lower in height, but is 80mm wider. So I suppose that also makes the 110 useless over here too.

How does the Bronco width compare width wise with a Disco 4 or 5? No Guts, No Glory.

D5 is about 100mm longer, and about 30mm taller and wider than the bronco 4dr, so practically the same footprint.
Wheelbase of the bronco is about 25mm longer than D5, but 110 is 73mm longer than the bronco 4dr. The bronco 2dr is about 170mm shorter than the 90 (only 30mm less in wheelbase) and slightly lower, but slightly wider, but really there’s not much in it. |

Love it or hate it, they will sell in volumes that JLR could only dream about.
Both Ford and Jeep understand their customer base and produce vehicles that customers are more than happy to buy. |

To be fair, and as already pointed out elsewhere, LR are not aiming the new Defender at the same market as the Bronco.
Which is a shame for those of us who wished it was. But there it is - the Bronco will sell for less but in greater numbers - the Defender is now a luxury product with a price to match. |

I agree with you Ads90.
The real shame is that JLR already have a number of vehicles that are already very similar to new Defender both in terms of capability and price. I still think they have missed a massive opportunity for volume sales on a Wrangler/Bronco equivalent with an attractive price for a base spec utility model and a market competitive price for a higher trim level version. |

LR could still produce an alternative model to have a nibble at the Bronco (leisure) market of course... but it's not going to have live axles so won't really be like-for-like.
But they could produce a Defender-lite / Defender-mini at a lower price point - it has been muted elsewhere. |
