1986 Defender 130 V8 Petrol HCPU Aintree Green

Ultra bulkheads - anyone bought one?

I keep seeing ultra bulkheads pop up on faceache and I must admit, I'm tempted. From the photos they look to be well made and appear to galvanise well. Has anyone got some first hand experience?

They are not cheap but by the time I factor in acid dipping, new panels, my time, consumables and galvanising they start to look like reasonable value.... 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

No personal experience with his bulkheads however i have had an XD chassis (which was made by the same people) and the work on that was very good. Know of one person with an ultra bulkhead and he said it fit well and the quality was good.

When you consider shielder are pretty much the only alternative and they certainly don’t have a very good reputation, an ultra bulkhead would probably be my choice at the moment
