Propshaft spacers
Hello,

Just seeing if anyone knows anything about propshaft spacers.

I’m currently got a 2” lift snd 33” tyres. I’m awaiting delivery of my 35x12” tyres and whilst waiting was going to replace the UJs on my props as a bit of preventative maintanence.

With the lift and bigger wheels I understand I should really go for a double Cardin prop but don’t currently have funds and I don’t currently have any issues with mine.

I have seen many different sized propshaft spacers advertised but doesn’t seem to be much info relating to what size you should have for what situation.

Does anyone know?

Unless you are increasing the lift (as well as the tyre size) then you should not require a propshaft spacer as nothing has changed between he transfer box and axle. Just tyre size.

Yes DC propshafts are the way to go, if we could I am sure many would have one. But the cost, right... Rolling Eyes

If you do decide to go for a spacer then be aware that you will also require new longer propshaft bolts to accommodate the spacer. That will require removing the transfer box flange.

To be honest if you are fitting 35" tyres I would be spending money on HD half shafts, flanges and a brake upgrade as the additional turning force of the bigger tyres will probably make braking a bit more challenging.

With those 35" tyres you will also require longer bump stops to prevent the tyres from ripping chunks off your bodywork. With 33" tyres I am as close as you can go without bump stops and/or body wrk trimming.

Just my thoughts anyway...
