You aint kiddin' Laughing I spent a while making all this stuff work and today I tinkered a lot to make it select gears. The biggest drawback with this set up is that it has to be assembled before the engine is fitted then firkled in Confused I'm not looking forward to that. The loom is in the hands of phoenix at the moment so hopefully it will be running soon Whistle Let's see where you're at Whistle Rolling with laughter

It just might work Wink

It now sits at the same height as before so should come through tunnel in right place but it wont go in through gap attatched to engine so will need to be retro fitted. This may mean I need to cut a section of tunnel out to assemble in situ Big Cry

I've spoken to him via messenger a few times and he is very helpful. The only drawback at the moment is the gizmo to talk to my instrument cluster is due to come from russia Shocked . I have to start thinking about exhaust now ( To make sure it's louder than yours Laughing )
There's also the issue still of heater box and airbox to sort. I'm pretty sure there'll be other stuff to overcome too. I'm enjoying having to think about each step but don't try and think too far ahead as it will depress you but planning ahead is important too. Radiator is something I'm going to have to make a move on soon too. Blimey I'm depressing myself going over my to do list Rolling with laughter

I agree 100% Timbo, best is to tackle it mentally bit by bit. Like tomorrow I plan on throwing the cams in and the new sump on. So anything after that will be a bonus.

your exhaust simply will not be louder... Rolling with laughter

(I cannot be sure since I haven't really thought about it yet... or have I?)

I measured the mounts from the TD5 chassis to the distance between the mounts on the 1UZ, I reckon I might be getting lucky and so the mounts I need to make will not be so much work. Bow down

I still havent thought ahead about anythign really other than the electronics, as that "stuff" Scares me Rolling with laughter 4.0 V8 Defender 90
