United States 1984 Defender 90 200 Tdi SW Orkney Grey
Discovery 200tdi transplant, wiring issues
Hi everyone,

First time poster here and hoping I can draw on your knowledge and experience!

I've recently put a 200tdi from a Disco into my 1984 90. I've been speaking to autosparks to try and find the right wiring harness/loom to connect from the engine into my dash but I'm really struggling to find anything that uses this connector.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Pictures in OPs gallery.

1984 should have the multi bullet connector type (if that is the right name for the connector). 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black

Is plug and wiring part of your Discovery 200tdi engine or part of the 1984 defender 90 ?

using wire colour at the plug and wiring PDF see below and work it out

Whenever I have done it I have always used the Landrover multipin block, cut the appropriate wires about 6-10" engine side of it and spliced it to the discovery engine harness as required with soldered connection, heat shrink and the ribbed wire protector to support it. Dont cut all the wires the same length as all joints will be in the same place, space them about 1-2" apart to give a neater/smoother finish.
