Front prop into transfer box
Hi all
Hoping for some advice on how to fix this issue.
There is play in the part the front prop goes into the transfer box.
Is it a simple bearing and seal replacement?

What I am not sure of is if it can be done in situ as there is the center diff locking ring on the front output shaft. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Thanks for the reply...
I was checking the uj and could feel and as the play where it enters the transfer box...i would imagine there should be no play at all in this area..and there is a definite clunk from this area..

My old 90 had a very small amount of movement if I grab the front prop shaft and rock it up and down. Never gave any issues though. Unsure if play there can cause a clunk. But good to check the nut on the output flange. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

A small amount of radial play is normal as it’s a ball bearing not a taper roller. If it’s not leaking or rough to rotate then it will be fine.

It's not leaking but there is some movement
