Thank you! For a while there I thought I was the only one left driving a Defender in our urban jungle...

Nope, there are many here, but as you can imagine, most are high end... 3 streets away is beautiful twisted 110 LS3, which I have been in, it’s simply stunning inside and out, and they do use it to green lane and do trips to Europe there is a heritage 90 I see being used to ship the kids to school, our gardener has a lightweight, a 110 pick up, and old soft top 90... the waving continues in the urban jungle

There is also Lookers Park Royal - official dealer - on the A40
I used them for my Puma during the warranty period, but now do my own servicing - probably a lot better then they ever did. |

Vogue autos in Ruislip is good for all things LR too.
I'm also based out west London way, and mine is definitely not a fancy high end one |

Perhaps we should have a West London meet up - may be at the Ace Cafe or somewhere else convenient?
Don't want to derail the OPs thread though |

no problem about derailment... Thank you for the two garages mentioned... But as my defender is the only car I have, is there another garage that is closer to West Kensington/Kensington area W14?
Many thanks again A http://instagram.com/h4vou/ |

I used them last year. Good standard of work but pricey labour rates! |

I'd be up for a meet.
I'm SW London born and raised, although I have now been in the Alps for 14 years. But I do come home once or twice a year by car and would be happy to get together if timings work. As a biker, Ace cafe, as already mentioned, is always an option or any one of the number of fantastic riverside pubs.....I practically grew up in the White Swan in Twickenham. Perfect spot for a row of LRs. Click image to enlarge I'm usually based with family (Kensington) or friends (Chelsea down to Weybridge following the Thames corridor). I'm thinking of making a trip back over summer, as I have a tonne of parts to pick up, if Covid restrictions allow... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

I've launched my canoe from next to the White Swan. Nice area.
Defo need to arrange a meet. So when are you next in Blighty Grenadier? |

Kmac, after many a lock-in I've launched myself into the Thames from the beach by the Swan. Lovely, lovely pub. Was very much 'off the beaten' path when I was growing up, reputation and the internet has exploded its popularity. Still make an effort to go whenever I'm back, but any friends/family I had in St Mags have moved since I lived there, so little reason bar a visit to the Stoop or HQ for a match.
As to when I'll be back, a complete unknown because of Covid. IF it happens it'll have to be either before 28th June or after 14th August due to foot surgery in the interim which will prevent me walking, let alone driving, for six weeks. Mrs Grenadier has been double vaccinated, so can travel (indeed fly as well, because she hates long journeys in the Def) but I've not had any vaccination, so Covid restrictions, self quarantine etc, are the main hurdle. I'll have to play it by ear. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Try the Garage in Bramber Road. Just down from West Brompton and Lillie Road. I used to use them when I lived in town. https://www.thegaragelondon.com/ |
