Has Phil shut up shop completely or is he trading elsewhere?

Don’t know, he owes me for a headlining ordered last year and so far no joy even with the credit card company. If anyone has an address that would help. Last time I checked the defender 71 website was down as well.

I guess you live and learn but I really don’t like being taken for a mug. No other options left to reclaim my money as trading standard can’t do anything without an address, nor can I take him to small claims Court. 90 - Gone but not forgotten

How come no luck with the CC company? I try to use mine for any remote transactions of value think8ng they’ll help if there’s a problem. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Shame. Although he was a nightmare to deal with, his work really was great quality. Sometimes it was worth the trade off.

A credit card company need to do more than help, they are jointly liable with the seller due to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/re...CUb9i8Kwfa

If you pay over £100 for goods or services You are covered up to £30k even if you only paid £100 as a deposit and the rest in cash.If the company goes bust or do not provide the goods or services, or they are deficient in some way the CC company are as liable as the seller.

That’s why I was curious as to why they couldn’t help on this case. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Let’s just say that the credit card company aren’t keen to pay out and will put obstacles in your way. It’s currently awaiting investigation by the Financial Services Ombudsman. Honestly just sick to the back teeth of it. I’ve ended up with a Britpart rear headlining which wasn’t what I wanted but does do the job once I stopped it rattling. 90 - Gone but not forgotten
