Yes mate mine is the same but like you when I first got mine i thought the same.

Apparently there's not supposed to be any kind of bush or isolator in between. On mine, the two holes don't line up very well anyway.

Mine is the same.

I think its as described above. There is an optical laser measuring device at the end of the production line. If the two holes line up the test driver
