Likewise, been running these for 3 years now on a lifted 90 with no issues. Just remember to regularly grease them. 2005 Td5 90 XS

In my case one uj needed replacing, so obviously I replaced the whole propshaft with the most expensive option I could find!
As you know the transfer box flange and the front diff flange are not co-planar which inevitably causes vibration, a DC shaft eliminates this. Furthermore the ujs on the GL shaft are massive, far larger than standard, hence stronger. |

Yep,it was the rear UJ that had failed on ours, but due to the extension because of the suspension lift,,and the 12 inch travel shocks, meant that the sliding joints were running out to full stretch.
We decided to replace both front and rear propshafts with Hd and Double Cardan ones at the same time,,as our extreme course is prettt hard on our 90, especially when we often do up to 20 hours of off roading per week! |

Rear UJ on mine too that played up too seems the most common.
Like the GL version, but too expensive for me but would rule it out one day. Trouble is I’d want both as well not just one or it’d drive me nuts 😂. Mines going just fine but only after replacing all the UJ’s. Now that was a fun job! ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

So we’ve now got both the new front and rear props fitted.

I also forgot to say that the ride has been transformed. Previously we had a lot of vibration through the driveline, which has now completely gone! The other amazing thing is how quickly it gets up,to speed, anything above 50mph was noisy and uncomfortable. It now sprints up to 65 mph with ease! What a difference.. Well worth it if any of you have a 2 inch suspension lift or greater. |

I realise this is none of my business, so I’ll apologise in advance , but looking st that first picture, the chassis is starting to look like it needs a bit of love.
Another year or so and it might be too late. 😮😮 By the way the props look great , i have the GL wide angle props and they’re a great upgrade, loads better than the standard props. The dc’s look even better. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 2002 td5 90 county hardtop |
