One piece rear half shafts
I have just received my new one piece half shafts and was wondering what is the current thinking
On fitting the gaskets. Long time ago it was the norm to slather gaskets with Hylomar / liquid gasket and the like or is it to fit them dry
Or with a slight smear of grease?

paper gasket or a thin smear of sealant is all you need

Yep, got the paper gasket, so it goes up dry?

I tend to fit the paper gaskets with a smear of grease to hold them in place as much as anything. It seems to work as they don't leak.

Paper gaskets traditionally were always greased, it helps to stop them wrinkling.
