Im sure this has been a question before, but i cant find an aswer that helps me.
I have had issues with overheating in my Defender 2.4 from 2008. So far i have changed: coolant pump, thermostat (next to radiator) new radiator and fitted a fan spacer. Now my problem is that there is almost no heat coming in the cabin. I have done a fulle bleed several times and nothing helpes. I have been told that there is 2 thermostats, but cant find the location on the second. Does anyone know where the 2nd thermostat is located ? Thanks in advance, and wishing you a nice weekend, Cheers. Defender 110 Puma 2.4 tdci |

Hi Greyman110...
Back again The valve works and it is hot as the tubes going into the valve. I changed the valve last year, as it was leaking. The cable works just fine. But the hoses that goes from the valve into the cabin varmer are only semi varm. So i am convinced there is either in the hoses and no circulation or it could be an air pocket in the radiator in the cabin varmer ! Defender 110 Puma 2.4 tdci |

It could also be an internal fault with the heater valve, so that the coolant is always bypassing the heater matrix irrespective of the position of the control.
The heater valves are extremely poor quality, cheaply made, and not very durable. They are also shockingly expensive from Landrover, but cheaper alternatives are available (search this forum for alternatives). |

Would it be ok to bypass the valve, so the heat goes directly into the cabin ? Defender 110 Puma 2.4 tdci |
