at that age and mileage treat it to a new or reconditioned one.
i've just used nps national power steering at leicester with good results, they advertise on ebay but being a bit old school if you ring you'll get better and dare i say it cheaper service. take on one off fit new back on the road same day or send yours away and they will overhaul it and send it back |

Yes, more I think about it the more I’m thinking a new replacement may be a better bet, give me another 100k plus miles before I need to worry again.

Are you sure it's the steering box?
Mine's got over double the mileage yours has and everytime I think it's got a bit of play it's something else - TREs, wheel bearings, etc. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |
