Bought a front bumper from Duckworth Parts which arrived on Wednesday. Cut some 35mm holes in it for a pair of recovery swivels ( Flatdog 4x4, ordered at 15:05, arrived next day 08:30) and drilled some holes for spotlights ( IPF from 4x4AT.com) and then took it over to Jacksons in Yeadon to have it powder coated gloss black.

I assume you know that a standard bumper (if that is what you have) will need a lot of reinforcing to use recovery points?

It is a standard front bumper and I've cut the swivels in just in front of the chassis rails at what I figured would be the strongest point. But, as I say in the above post, I'm not planning on using them for dragging vehicles out of swamps. Mainly for work i.e. pulling large cable runs around building sites and farmyards.
Please see my gallery. Now to try fathom out how to insert photo's into posts Confused

Cheers. Smile

Today I replaced the transfer oil.
Everything went fine, very few metal dust attached to the drain plug magnet.

Next week I will change the transmission oil. Is the drain plug also magnetic ?

MY11 gearbox drain plug is magnetic - well it is on mine anyway. There was quite a mound of tiny metal shards stuck to it when I changed the oil a couple of weeks ago - like a little sculpture it was Laughing

I found this plug that I believe is the MT82 fill plug. Is the same type and size of the drain plug.

The image was taken looking front to rear.

Is this the right plug ? I read somewhere that the fill plug is different from the drain plug.

Anyway, I flushed about 2.7 liters of oil, I'm now waiting your answer about the fill plug.

Thanks for the information! I replaced both transmission and gear oil.
Next week I will install magnetic plugs in the front and rear diffs.
