Digital dash -- yea or nay?
Topic header says it all; I've a little time left to make changes to my order and I'm going back and forth on the digital dash. It's one more thing to break, and I love the sweepy analog wheels. OTOH, the flexibility of digital appeals.

What have folks who already have the car got? What's the opinion -- is the digital a win? Looks good, renders well, etc? I've seen comments that it doesn't get dark enough at night, too?

I love it on my Velar, graphics are pin sharp. It’s the one thing I would miss. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Having seen an analog dash in another thread on here recently I'd say DO NOT DO IT - it doesn't looks a seamless setup with 3/4's of the dials plastic and the bit cut out filled in with digital images of the missing bits, not great IMHO.

Definitely go for the digital dash. It’s very good. Let’s face it, more cars out there of all makes seem to have them, so no reason to suspect reliability.
Anyway, analogue instrument units have been going wrong on Discovery’s for years! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Well done.
I test drove one with no digital dash and it was very cluttered. I much preferred the other test I made with the full digital.
Coming from Audi, the price gap between normal/full digital is also not big for the Defender.

Yeah. I’ve the half and half in my Evoque and it’s fine, but the shot above makes it look awful. Part of it is from bikes; my 675 race bike has the analog tach and it’s just great; the Duc has a (now old-school) LCD dash that’s a bit meh. Whole different ball of wax here and I feel good about the change for the price — all these ‘little’ tweaks are adding up to a proper pile though. D110 P300 (now here) -- Pangea Green / white roof / white steelies / Off-road pack / towing pack / cold-weather pack / heated seats and assorted fun odds and sods

The picture up the thread is taken from my car. Haven't found any difference in information displayed between the two dashboard options. And I just love analog speedos (there's nothing to beat some nice Smiths instruments, but different story).
So to me it's not worth the price upgrading to the full digital one.

I'd say it's a matter of personal taste.

The main thing that I noticed with the digital was the ability to have the whole driver display as sat nav map where it put the speedometer small at the top along with all the other warning information. Also it is fully configurable so you can move whatever you want into the position that suits your preferences for instance you can have section of sat nav on the left, speedometer in the middle and music display on the right. There are so many different functions and layouts you can select it is very good imo

Its a £300 option, be daft not to in my mind.
I've spent ages on the configurator building various versions of the car I want, and this option has been ticked on every build 110 D250 SE HT

HMMMM.
Still think I'd tick the box though. It was 1 of the very few options I'd want. I'm after a hardtop/commercial 110. This dash, air suspension, forlights, auto high beam assist, and I think dark roof liner are the options I'd want. Oh and the blue paint but thats looking a very common colour now along with white. So maybe a rethink on that 110 D250 SE HT

The dash is excellent - I only paid £300 but would have happily paid £500.

Can CarPlay (Google Maps there-on) be shown in a decent sized window on the DigiDash? Question

No. Apple car play let you use Google maps, but only on the pivi screen. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
