Large key door locks?
We have a Tdi 90, which the wife uses. She struggles to lock/unlock the door locks due to sore hands (arthritis) not helped by the small keys supplied with the door locks. Does anyone know of any locks with larger keys, hence easier unlocking due to leverage. We do not want to go down aftermarket central locking route.
Thanks.

Have you explored an add-on for your existing key? e.g..

Maybe worth a visit to a key cutter to see if they have a suitable blank with a larger end, more like the ignition key Thumbs Up Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

You could change the handles to the later type which, in turn, use larger locks so that they share a key with the ignition. To get the most benefit you'd also need to change the ignition lock so you only needed one key for the whole vehicle (except fuel cap) but that's not essential. Darren

More investigation today, stripped out the door lock mechanism all works fine, key in locks and works well until you connect up the inner button and it all goes stiff again.
So answer is order new interior locks.
