Underbody Protection

Ladies / Gents

With the better weather coming ( hopefully ) I want to protect the underside of my 110 csw.
As a 6 yr old vehicle it is in very good condition but I am thinking that it should now have some sort of protection.

I have previously applied Dinitrol to my other 110 but don’t want to use that type of product this time around.

The plan is to use Buzzwelds Chassis in one on the Chassis and running gear after having been suitably prepped then on the wheel arches and underside of the body I had thought about using their WAR product which can also be tinted to a body coloured finish. The inside of the chassis will protected by perhaps a Dinitrol soft wax.

Has anyone used any of these products, in particular the WAR product. I don’t want a soft wax finish this time around.

I had thought about using a stone chip product on the underside of the body and arches thereafter using a body coloured paint over the top finished off with a clear wax, giving a similar finish to that of a new vehicle.

I am aware that this is going to be a big project, stripping underbody panels etc but I have more than enough time and space to be able to do this

Any advice on these products would be greatly appreciated.

If you have more than enough time and space my immediate observation on the quality job you’re intending to do is that you can do mine as well.

But in seriousness, following this thread as the Buzzweld treatment interests me...

Just done my110, 130 and lightweight with lanoguard. Takes 30 mins per vehicle. Cost <£50 a vehicle.

In my eyes a good body protection shall be transparent leaving the steel visible.

Grease is a better choice for the inside, because wax would be difficult to remove if repairs were necessary.
