Anyone used this or something similar? Is it really necessary for something like the Puma for a battery change?

Absolutly no need with a Puma all you need to do is put a radio code back in no trouble with imobiliser, if you have back up alarm you have to disconnect within 20 sec of turning ignition off with the passenger door open as you would have anyway If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

My radio seems to retain its code for about 10 minutes after disconnecting the battery.

My old head unit did too, but probably only three or four minutes! Seems that there is a delay in the unit code clearing so if you 'whip it out' and 'whip it in' there may be no need to re-enter the code. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
