Longbed 130 pics request
Hello,

I am curious if anybody has any pics of a hicap longbed 130? Basically 110 Hcpu bed behind a doublecab... 147? At any rate any pics or experience would be nice. Naturally thinking it’s something I might build.

Thanks in advance! -Gustaf

Hi Gustaf, and welcome back after 10 years!! Thumbs Up

I've never seen or heard of it being done before. I'm most certain it would be a first and is something I'd very much like to see!

This is the only thing that I could come across using the Defender 110 HiCap tub (Foley conversion apparently):

You'd definitely have to extend the chassis for the added length between the back of the cab and the rear axle. I believe the difference between the two tub sizes is 340 mm / ~13.4" (1670 mm and 2010 mm for 130 and 110, respectively). So you'd end up with a Defender 140 Question

(excuse the errr... tasteful orange)

Now that I think about it, there's an admin on the Cummins Land Rover Facebook Group that has a Cummins Defender 140" - however, he isn't using a 110 HiCap tub, instead, a 110 double cab style tub:

I believe he started the conversion back in 2003 and has had all sorts of engines and transmissions in it (currently a 24v isbe Cummins Twisted Evil )! He's still very active in the group and I could direct you in his direction if you wanted?

That's all I've got, but maybe one of the other chaps knows of one?

Cheers! Stuart

I'd like to see this too (perhaps a Photoshop guru could mock one up), like you it is something I have often thought would be good to build. I reckon it would be about a 147 wheelbase, but a very useful vehicle.

Thanks for the pics!

Funny as “Smyles” pointed it it had been 10 years since I posted last...long time lurker?? Truly I lost my password or which I promptly did again after this posting. I have however made a new one... (see how long that lasts)

“JOW240725“ pegged what I was looking for with the first 147 pic. Any other pics like that are appreciated or knowledge of mods etc etc.

Sorry about your princely loss, quite the last ride.
