2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Indus Silver
i would suggest replacing the clutch sensor on the master cylinder Part number msk500020

the sensor sends signal if the clutch is pressed and adjust throttle, that results in kangarooing if the sensor is faulty

i experienced it my self after i remove the clutch assembly for light clutch mods and fixed it by replacing the sensor

My opinion as a non expert... stressing the non expert just my experience. The tdci is well known for its kangerooing at low speed, we certainly had it. A remap got rid of 95% of it immediately. Speaking to Empire Tuning, says he can get rid of it entirely.

Certainly worth checking everything is ok first, but I wonder as a new owner (?) if this is a 'normal' Defender trait? James

Cold weather issues, hunting idle, stalling, poor high end performance in high gears 6th in particular. Typically VCV.

Power surges, revs unexpectedly dropping off, erratic power application in particular immediately after bringing the clutch up.
Typically clutch switch.

Intended as a guide, VCV creates no DTC’s. The Clutch switch can flag some up. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Mmmmmm

I have the Empire Tuning Remap...
At times I get plenty of kangarooing Whistle nothing I do changes it..except hard acceleration?

Can’t explain it tbh... the next day it doesn’t happen

I just live with it now

It might help to explain, the kangarooing I refer to occurs as you accelerate at low speed then lift off accelerator. It's worse when the engine is cold but can happen anytime.

You could learn to avoid it occurring, but the BAS remap got rid of vast majority. James
