..............stand it up, wait for the oil to drain back into the sump, drive it home. Order replacement body from carriage autos. Fit. Polish. Enjoy Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Sorry, tongue in cheek, terrible thing to happen and hope all involved are OK, watched this being rebuilt on instagram I think or another social source. Definitely seen it before as the colours really distinctive.

That is the lovely thing about a defender though. Just make it straight again. Very Happy

Out of interest..... who's insurance pays for the 130? The 90's, or the 130's? Or is it just a loss.

suppose it depends on if the 90 guy actually has transport insurance or was simply doing some sort of favour......

^^ This. If he's doing it commercially (for profit or reward) the the haulier is liable. If he was doing at as a favour, then it is exceptionally unlikely that his insurance covers it, and you just have to hope that the owner of the 127 had insurance which does (remembering that if it's not on the road it doesn't need insurance at all, and if it is on the road it is very likely that it is covered while being towed on a trailer).

If the accident was the fault of a third party, then the third party would be liable and assuming that they have insurance, that should pay out. If the third party doesn't have insurance (for example it was a pedestrian incursion into the road which caused the accident) you're back to hoping that the vehicles' respective owner have insurance.

The one thing you can be sure of is that regardless of the insurance, bot owners will be out of pocket and worse off as a result of the incident.

How many of us have ever thought to check if our pride and joy is insured when on the back of a trailer? Where are my documents....

I was just thinking the same.

If i tow my dads 90 somewhere with my 110.... his 90 is effectively uninsured whilst doing so. As I can't imagine my insurance covers his vehicle on the back of the trailer.

Might look into that. Wonder if you can get insurance to cover the towed possessions ON the trailer. Is the trailer itself even insured. Probably not.

Correctly, it was called a One Two Seven at the time this one was built.

They were re-named later.

And it was southern electricity board at the time, SSE did not exist until the early 2000s iirc. 2011 110 USW
