A couple of years ago we bought a 2nd hand car, it had the previous owners home address and details in the sat nav/computer along with regular routes taken, favourite tunes and other stuff. When we sold the car I could log in online for about 6 weeks and still access the car. 90S D250 fuji and loving it.

When my wife swapped her last Discovery Sport for a Velar, the dealer did not reset the Land Rover Remote app and set it up for the new owner.
,
This meant that i could see where the car was, journeys, owners home, and regular movement patterns.

This was until my wife's subscription came to the end.

Weird thing was that the new owner lives in part of the west country that we would like to move to.... Big Cry

On newer models if that was the case, the previous owner could beep the horn at midnight, start the car and even unlock it at will Shocked

Moral of the story if buying a pre owned Land Rover then ensure that the dealership has cleared any previous owners Remote account.

I clear my own, my Velar is out of warranty so all accounts closed now. Not really sure all this connected stuff is of any use. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
