its to keep a supply of fuel for their traditional vehicles...............
not sure EV is the future regardless, seems everyone just ignores the real world emissions and thinks they are "green" due to no local exhaust pipe..... |

Well Germany does have a history of high grade synthetic fuel production. Perhaps they have brought some of their war time scientists out of retirement

When co2 is worked out they do not take into account production of fuel. Hopefully synthetic fuel produces less than petrol then is a proper option. But you still need to take into account oil used in engines. My defender has used and thrown away 70litres of engine oil, where has all that gone and how much co2 did it take to create.
