Both look great Clayton.

Can totally understand why people change their minds on this issue, I can't decide what to do with mine now!

Thank you Very Happy

I think that the only way is to fit the series surrounds on and see if you like the look for a while, if not change back to the original look Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

So finally completed my new look front end.

Sourced some aluminium surrounds and bezels, and opted for the Zunsport mesh grille. Some time spent prepping and painting. Decided in the first instance to paint the wee black plugs rather than fill and paint the surround. I may change that in the coming months..

And here we are. Delighted with the results. Just needing to decide on a front grille badge now. Thanks for all the advice and photos from those who’ve done similar.

And yes a new bumper is next on the list!

Looks great. What aluminium surrounds did you go for? Darren

Thanks LRA - they were an eBay find. Marked as Nomad UK - really just appealed because they don’t have any gaps/louvres. Ideally would’ve liked the TMD option with the custom mesh louvres but couldn’t justify the exorbitant price. I’ve enjoyed this wee project and saved a bundle doing this myself!

Do you have a link or item number as all seem to be the ones with the horn cut-out......

Think this was a one off item - maybe old stock? Couldn’t find any info on Nomad UK when researching.

Though it may be worth contacting seller on the finished listing - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nomad-UK-Land-R...890.l49292

I had a quick look earlier and this company has a range of options at a decent price, although non without some sort of horn hole:

Like the Nakatenanga ones but cleaner. I've got these on mine and they are mint.
