Air brakes.
Clearly the pigeon saw his error at the last second...... the Landy wouldn’t have stopped.

I've seen bird silhouettes often enough, but the footprints is a new one!

A week or so ago I had a pheasant fly into the windscreen of my Disco2, and it hit the top left corner very hard indeed, hard enough in fact to make the switch panel for the sunroof fall off the roof inside the car! I was sure it was going to come through, and still cannot believe that there isn't a mark on the car, and no damage at all to the screen. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the pheasant which didn't fare quite so well.

A few years ago a barn owl collided with my Tdi300 and ripped the aerial from the front wing. I stopped and walked back to see if I could see the injured barn owl. He was long gone but the aerial was lying in the road when suddenly a jackdaw landed and attempted to fly off with it. He saw me approaching so decided to take off and find another shiny object. Defender 90XS SW
