I know that this subject has been covered a lot but can I just replace the pink dim/dip relay YWC 10050 with the later bypass unit YWZ10003 to avoid main switch burning ourt so often? Jeff

Yes, but that's not really the cause of the switch burning out. Alternatively, just unplug the resistor under the wing to disable the system. Darren

The headlights won't function correctly if you unplug the pink relay, you would need the bypass unit (or a wire with two spade terminals). You can however just unplug the resistor on the inner wing without any further action.
